Matt Haigh @ Interclub TT – 29th July 2026

Another successful Inter-Club TT

From Matt Haigh

The return leg of this seasons’ CC Sudbury vs Colchester Rovers Inter-Club TT took place on Wed 29th July despite a series of road works/traffic lights on the E7/10d Tendring course one of which necessitated a slight shortening of the course.

There were a total of 38 riders, the fastest of whom was Simon Daw of CC Sudbury but with a large number of Rovers in the remainder of the leading places, Rovers won the event overall 495 points to 440. First Rover was Mark Lloyd, First Lady Rover was Siobhan Curtis.

There are some great photos from Paul Meadows’ posted on the Rovers Facebook page.

Many thanks to the many Rovers members who volunteered in all the usual ways: signage, sign-on, timekeeping, marshalling and of course to the riders on the night.

We’ll be running these events again next year so consider entering if you haven’t before.

We are having a social at the Donkey & Buskin pub after our last club TT of the season on Wed 26th Aug to which everyone is very welcome. The last TT is a single lap of the Layer course, so we’ll be at the pub from about 7.30pm. It would be nice to see all the people that have ridden this season, our wonderful volunteers and any other club members that fancy a ride/drive out there.
