After a day of solid rain yesterday the sun finally came out for us again at the Northern Gateway and brought with it record numbers again! The coaches had planned some great sessions focusing on pedaling technique and there were plenty of smiles on show. Congratulations go to Archie, Elliot F and Elliot R for their greatest improvements in the one lap TT and also to George S, Jacob W and Noah W for their half term box challenge. Highlight of the morning was a new record in the one lap time trial by Ben M – 2:36 from a standing start – well done!
As well as our stalwart assistants Zoe and Dan (both of whom are looking to get their Level 1 Coaching qualification soon) we welcomed back Dexter who will soon be returning to racing duties in Belgium, and Jake who was taking some time out from dominating the regional road racing scene. Many thanks to all of them (and Amelia the coach too!), it is wonderful to have our former youth riders come back and be such great role models to our youngsters!
