Another great turnout under the Welwyn sun today. The heavy rain of the week made for some muddy conditions over in Hertfordshire, although while the grip was not affected too badly, the bikes all gained a couple of kilos by the end of the race with additional weight on the tyres!
Jacob and Noah had excellent rides in the U8/U10 race, showing the best cornering lines of the day, while Elizabeth had a storming ride to just narrowly miss a place on the overall podium, but in doing so won the U10 Girls category.
Only one Rover in the U12s this week in Ewan who is coming on in leaps and bounds (must be the socks!) but great rides from second claim members and coaching regulars Aaron and Ciaran.
Finally (from the youth contingent) we had Oscar, Isaac, George, Ben and Matilda in the U14/U16 race with some great battling performances on a very hilly circuit. After a mechanical on the first lap, Isaac was able to battle through the field to grab 3rd in the U14s.
