New Members

Treasurers Report for CRCC accounts and Youth accounts.

Main account healthy, a lot of membership paid in. CTT renewal £100. Simon has asked if the club would pay the £250 for Thomas’s L3 course – members agreed.

Actions from previous meeting:

• Kelly to post a reminder to Facebook re membership – completed.
• Maggie to amend the new members’ email – Maggie to do via BC.
• Paul Meadows to liaise with Nick on a collection day/time for the trophies – completed.
• Paul Meadows to audit the trophy list which will be provided by Nick Swainston – underway.
• Nick Swainston will provide a list of records to Justin to put onto the CR site – info provided by Matt – Keith has got an electronic copy of club records which he got from Nick Swainston some time ago as part of the club handbook update 2018, Keith sent this info to Maggie/Malcolm recently – completed
• Maggie Hargreaves to review some venues for the presentation to be held – completed
• Maggie Hargreaves to send latest list of Marshalls to Nick Swainston – completed
• Matt to speak to Keith regarding signs for the event – Keith confirmed that he was expecting to be doing the Wadley signs, Matt Haigh confirmed that he’d help him, as last year – completed
• Nick Swainston to speak to BC HQ as it’s a national race – outstanding.
• Nick to send details to Maggie who agreed to deal with payment – outstanding.
• Helen & Kelly to review the document & review in next meeting to agree before it’s put on the web site – outstanding.
• Justin to duplicate club calendars so that they can be added into the Club google account – outstanding.
• Matt to populate the calendars with all TT details – underway.
• Matt volunteered to help fix the bike box – Helen to liaise with Matt – completed
• Nick has suggested that we could use his works boardroom in the centre of town in the Red Lion Yard, this would save £45 a month. Committee to review and update in next meeting – Parking is an issue & disabled access therefore the committee decided that the location could be used in an emergency only – completed.

Membership – Justin Smith

55+ renewals. 2 new memberships. 8 further renewals were provided during the meeting.

Action: Previous minutes Jan 2025 to be updated to the following: All committee members agree to accept a previous members renewal, but to monitor – completed.

Safe guarding – Jacqui Mortlock

15 DBS one has expired but they are not on the committee any longer, two enquiries. Do we need to do a children guide as part of the intro pack or during training so they know who to go to if needed. Action: Speak to Tom and Simon about any briefing which is given to the children and then decide what could be put together for them – Jacqui

Action: Colins to provide his DBS, number and date needed to be provided to Jacqui – Colin

Youth Development – Maggie Hargraves on behalf of Simon Wilson

Simon has been talking to Northern Gateway about running grass track. Simon will be running the grass track this year. Action: Steel containers, Simon to update what’s been discussed – Maggie to liaise with Simon at later date.

Trophies and Records – Paul Meadows & Ken Baker.

Action: Maggie to put a message out for anyone to confirm if they have a trophy so that Paul Meadows can complete the list of trophies.

Road and circuit races – Malcom Hargraves

Closing date is 26^th Feb.

A lead car and lead 2 car driver arranged. Lead 3 car driver still to be found. Action: Colin to see if he can find a driver – Colin.

Require 2^nd 1^st aider at village hall. Action: Malcom to see if his daughter will help & be a first aider.

 

TT – Matt Haigh

10 and 25 are attracting entries. All club TTs are now established. Club TT organising meeting is on the 10^th Feb in the Northern Gateway. Action: Bank account to be switched over to the club bank account – Maggie to liaise with Nick.

Presentation/Christmas Dinner – Maggie Hargraves

Maggie has liaised with the Mariott Hotel at Marks Tey and they have offered the following for 3 Saturday’s in November – 3 course meal at £28 a head and offered 3 available dates £15 a head child’s meal. Holding Saturday 22^nd November until the 28^th Feb. Action: Maggie to put in in the news letter and on face book. Deposit of £500 required. Action: Committee happy for Maggie to go ahead & book the date.

• Action: Liaise with Nick to ask about old record holders – Matt – completed.
• Action: List of latest mailing list to be sent to Claire – Maggie – completed
• Paul asked if the village hall at Bromley is paid – Maggie confirmed it was. New bike shop – future bikes are moving to Colchester.
• Matt mentioned that members can get 10% off kit if they entre BC number. Action: 10% off of kit with BC number to be added to face book – Matt.
• Maggie mentioned nominating a new president. Geoff’s wish was to make Julie Baker the next president. The committee are all in agreement to make Julie the next president – to be welcomed as president at the dinner.
• Confirmed that Debbie & Jacqui can be first aider at the Wadley.
