The First Midweek TT of the 2021 season was held on Wednesday Evening with overcast cold conditions with some breeze.
A good number of riders took to the start line for the first-midweek event of the season. It was nice to welcome back James Williams to club activity after a few years break. An impressive time was also posted by first-timer Louis Genin.
The event produced a stunning ride from former Rovers Youth Rider Jake Crossley setting a new one-lap course record of 14 mins 52 secs at a very impressive average just short of 27.5 mph. We wish Jake well for the rest of the race season with our friends at tofautieveryoneactive. Jake’s race plans will include some racing on the continent, pandemic allowing. We are keeping our fingers crossed for you Jake.
We look forward to seeing more of you out there for our next event at Layer on 28 April 2021. This race will be 2 laps of the reservoir course.
