Three of our intrepid Youth contingent made the trip to Buckinghamshire today for a first junior multisport event since 2019. Lockdown coaching and the return of Rovers youth coaching clearly paying dividends.
James Clarke took a well deserved 1st place and Alex Widdowson was 5th in the Tri Star 1 boys race. It was a very competitive field with only ten seconds separating the field in the 3.2km bike leg around the MK Bowl.
Isla Widdowson in the next age group Tri Star 2 category also finished with a clear victory with over half a minute gap to her nearest pursuers.
Both races had stacked fields and to come away with these results was quite an achievement – remember these names as they really are ones to watch!
