Colchester Rovers were among the best represented clubs at the excellent Ashwell Summer Series despite riders having to make the journey of over an hour to get there, which bodes well for an excellent season of ‘cross to come for the club.
Elizabeth, Jacob and Noah started us off in the U8/10/12 category before Dan (3rd place), Peter, Simon and Tom contested the first Open race. Finally, the Three Amigos of Will, George and Isaac, back together again after a long lay-off, gave us a barnstorming performance in the Youth race coming in 4th, 5th and 6th in the U16 category despite all being only 12 years old!
Final race of the series next week before a brief lull in advance of the season proper starting on the 26th September at Springfield.
