The Rovers were in action again yesterday at the Iceni Velo cyclocross event at Snetterton. Following a number of training sessions over the festive period they were keen to show off their skills in a race situation. In a welcome change to the weather conditions that normally greet us at Snetterton, we were treated to blue skies and temperatures in double figures! Despite the distance from Colchester an amazing 18 members raced over the course of the day, with many other regulars from our sessions also performing – only one ‘cross race remaining now at Haughley Park at the end of the month – let’s see if we can get even more racing there.
Well done to all who took part – Rovers are looking solid in third place overall in the league out of a total of 39 eligible clubs. Let’s end the year on a high!
